Executive Vice President

David Dettoni is the Executive Vice President of Sudan Relief Fund.  David directs Programs and Operations – overseeing SRF’s humanitarian efforts — while coordinating with partner organizations and government agencies as necessary to implement SRF’s initiatives.

With extensive experience in public policy, David acts as a policy advocate in Washington, DC and world capitals.  He has testified before Congress on Sudan and South Sudan, and advised US lawmakers and policymakers on issues pertaining to national security, humanitarian assistance counterterrorism, and human rights.

David formerly served as Director of Operations and Outreach with the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), where he advised the president and Congress on policies to promote international religious freedom. He served as the co-staff director of the Congressional Human Rights Caucus and as a Senior Legislative Assistant to Congressman Frank R Wolf on matters related to foreign policy, national security and humanitarian issues.

Considered an expert on the Sudans, David is a sought after consultant for his unique understanding of Sub Saharan Africa as it relates to US foreign policy and humanitarian assistance.
