When Sudan Relief Fund started our work in South Sudan 25 years ago, dictator Omar al-Bashir was waging a war of terror against the region’s Christians and non-Muslims. Between brutal oppression, bombings and kidnapping, the people of South Sudan struggled every day just to survive.
Thanks to our donors, we were able to save so many lives during critical times! But, 25 years later – the people of South Sudan are still fighting for their lives.
They now face new threats like extreme drought and massive floods that wipe out their food and clean water sources. Nearly 8 million South Sudanese – 2 out of every 3 – will face a critical need for food and 1.4 million children will suffer from malnutrition and starvation.
Your monthly gift, in honor of our 25th anniversary can save countless desperate people. Together, we can continue to bring a brighter future full of hope and stability to this young country. God Bless you for all you do!
The Sudan Relief Fund is a 501(c)3 charitable organization established for the purpose of bringing food, clothing, shelter, and medical attention to the people of South Sudan. Since then, with the prayers and support of faithful people like you, we have made very real progress under the most difficult circumstances imaginable.
